Registering a copy of QuickBooks that has never been registered
To register online
  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Click Help then:
    • QuickBooks 2007 and later: Register QuickBooks > Begin Registration.
    • QuickBooks 2006 and Simple Start: Register QuickBooks > Online.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
To register by phone
  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Choose Help > Register QuickBooks.
  3. Write down the following:
    • QuickBooks 2006 and later: Write down the license and product numbers that appear.
    • QuickBooks Simple Start: Write down the serial number that appears.
  4. Call the following phone number:
    • From within the U.S., 888-246-8848 (option 3).
    • From outside the U.S., +1 520-901-3220 (option 2).

Registering a copy of QuickBooks that was registered previously

QuickBooks 2006 and later
  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Choose Help > Register QuickBooks.
  3. Write down the license and product numbers that appear.
  4. Call the following phone number:
    • From within the U.S., 888-246-8848 (option 3).
    • From outside the U.S., +1 520-901-3220 (option 2).
QuickBooks Simple Start
  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Choose Help > Register QuickBooks.
  3. In the Register QuickBooks Simple Start window, click Register and then click Begin Registration.
  4. Answer the Registration Questions and click Next.
    If a new window does not appear after you click Next, see Clicking Next in the License Agreement screen does not make the next installation screen appear.
  5. In the Product Registration window, enter your Business Phone number and Business Zip/Postal Code, and then click Continue.
    Note: If a message appears that the number you entered is invalid or if you do not know the registration number, call the following number:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Choose File > Register QuickBooks.
  3. Select the Phone option.
