Set the Preferred Send Method
If you click the first checkbox, and the Preferred Send Method for a customer is set as "e-mail," the To be e-mailed checkbox will be preselected for each invoice, sales receipt, sales order, credit memo, and so forth, you create for that customer.
How do I change the customer's Preferred Send Method to "e-mail"?
Click the Customer Center icon.
On the Customers & Jobs tab, double-click the customer whose Preferred Send Method you want to view.
On the Address Info tab of the Edit Customer window, check that you've entered the customer's e-mail address.
Click the Additional Info tab.
Under Preferred Send Method, click E-mail in the drop-down list.

Change the default note

and the format (<First><Last>, and so on) of the customer's
name.
