If you are a wholesale/distributor who stocks and purchases items based on
the manufacturer part number, you may not have to develop your own part number
key strategy. Even if you have multiple manufacturers for similar parts, they
should never have duplicate part numbers. When you set up your part numbers,
you can select a preferred vendor and will be able to generate the
Stock Status by
Vendor report with that information as well.
