Sometimes you need to get an invoice out the door quickly. This is usually
for a small, short-term job that doesn't require an estimate. For example,
a good customer may call and ask for a quick repair, which you agree to handle
this afternoon for a flat $200.
Go to the Customers menu and click Create Invoices.
Click the Customer:Job drop-down list and choose the customer. The Bill To
section will fill in automatically if you completed that part of the customer
Enter the P.O. Number and any other general information you need.
Click in the Item column and choose an item from the drop-down list.
The Description and Rate fields will fill in automatically if you entered
them when you set up the item.
Change the Description field if necessary to fit the job.
Enter Quantity and Rate if necessary. The Amount field will be calculated
Click the Terms drop-down list and choose the appropriate term.
Click the Print drop-down list arrow and choose Preview in the Create Invoices window to see how
the invoice will look when it is printed. The printed version of an invoice
looks different than the screen version.
Click Print to print the invoice.
When you're satisfied the invoice is correct, click Save & Close to
close the invoice window. The invoice will automatically be added to Accounts
