You can use subitems to do more in-depth job cost analysis. To set up a
subitem, you must first create or select an item and then create its subitems.
For example, using CSI (Construction Specifications Institute) divisions to
track Demo and Excavation costs as items, you could set up an Item 02 Site
Work. Then you can set up subitems called 02.10 Demo and 02.11 Excavation.
If it doesn't already exist, create
the parent item (that is, the item that will have subitems).
Go to the Lists menu and click Item List.
Click Item at the bottom of the list and click New.
Select the Subitem of checkbox and specify the parent item's

owner, or partner checkbox.
Fill in other fields the same as you would for an item and click OK.
