Track additional customer information

The QuickBooks Customer list lets you add extra fields to each customer's record for any purpose. You can use these customized fields to track dates, personal information, and so on. Accountants may want to add customized fields to track additional customer information such as:

  • Customer's account number

  • How customer was referred

  • Customer's e-mail address

  • Customer's birthday

  • Name of customer's spouse

  • Name of customer's administrative assistant

  • Customer's fiscal year-end date

Information you enter into the fields can be just for your use (for example, you can look up a customer's record to see his birth date), or you can add the customized fields to your sales forms and have the information appear on your invoices and sales receipts.
