Reinstall the original QuickBooks letter templates

About preparing Microsoft Word letters using QuickBooks data

You'll be copying the QuickBooks letter templates directly from the QuickBooks CD-ROM.

If you've edited a QuickBooks letter template that came with QuickBooks and saved it using the same filename, you will lose your edits by reinstalling. Rename any letter templates you want to preserve before reinstalling.

  1. Insert the QuickBooks CD-ROM in your computer's CD-ROM drive.

    The CD window automatically opens.

  2. From the CD window, click Exit.

  3. Right-click the Start menu and then click Explore.

  4. Double-click your CD-ROM drive to display the contents of the QuickBooks CD-ROM.

  5. Copy the QuickBooks Letters folder.

  6. In the folder containing the QuickBooks program, paste the QuickBooks Letters folder.
