QuickBooks stores the different types (customer, vendor, employee, etc.) of letter templates in the QuickBooks Letter Templates folder, which is
Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\(Shared) Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files\QuickBooks
Windows Vista: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files\QuickBooks Letter Templates
Note: Windows XP shows the Shared Documents folder when browsing (clicking folders) but QuickBooks and Windows show the
folder only as Documents in paths and addresses.
When you use the default location for your company file, your company file and the QuickBooks letter templates are in the same folder. If you save
file to a different folder later, QuickBooks copies your letter templates to the folder containing your company file.
