Preserve the formatting of your QuickBooks report

You can set options to preserve the formatting of a report when exporting to Excel. Then when you view the report in Excel, the fonts, colors, and other formatting match your original QuickBooks report.

To preserve report formatting

  1. Open the report you want to export.

  2. Click the Excel drop-down arrow at the top of the report.

  3. Select whether you want to create a new worksheet or use the report data to update an existing worksheet.

    About exporting data to an Excel or CSV file

  4. In the Send Report to Excel window, click the Advanced button.

  5. In the Advanced Excel Options window, select the formatting options you want.

  6. Click OK.
