Exclude names from synchronization

By default, contact names marked as Personal or Private do not get synchronized.

To synchronize either type of name:

  1. Clear the appropriate checkbox.

In Outlook, personal contacts have "personal" in the Categories field and private contacts have the Private checkbox selected.

These names are also subject to the same categorization rules as other names. For example, to synchronize Personal names, you must categorize each name as QB Customer, QB Vendor, or QB Other in addition to clearing the "Names assigned to the Personal category" checkbox.
