Back up data prior to your first contact management synchronization

As a precaution, we recommend that you back up both the data in your contact manager and your QuickBooks company file before you perform your first synchronization.

  1. Back up your Microsoft Outlook data first.

  2. Back up your QuickBooks company file.

    If the Synchronize Contacts window is open, click Cancel to close it before you start your QuickBooks backup.
