QuickBooks contacted your financial institution through the Internet, but the financial institution did not allow QuickBooks to connect to your account. This can happen if the financial institution:
Is temporarily having trouble with its Internet banking system.
Has locked your account because of a technical problem in an earlier online banking session. For example, the communication between QuickBooks and the financial institution may have been interrupted at a critical moment.
To resolve this issue:
Wait 15 minutes and then try connecting again. QuickBooks should be able to connect again normally after the financial institution or your ISP fixes the problem.
Contact your financial institution and ask if your account has an error recovery status, meaning that it has been locked. If so, ask the financial institution to unlock your account.
Check your Internet connection to see if it is working properly.
If you are still having problems, check the QuickBooks Support site on the Web or try the QuickBooks Community sites, where many special case situations are discussed by other QuickBooks users.
