Sometimes, to correct a problem in your company file or between an online account and your financial institution, you need to turn off online banking for the account, then turn it on again.
To do this task
Print these instructions.
Make a new backup of your company file.
Important: Do not overwrite an existing backup.
If you have unsent transactions or messages for the account, send or delete them from the Online Banking Center.
Open the Online Services tab of the account to reset.
Click Chart of Accounts in the Company section.
Single-click the account to change.
Click the Account button at the bottom of the Chart of Accounts and then click Edit Account.
Click the Online Services tab.
Write down the proper name of the financial institution where you have the account.
Carefully write down all other information from the Online Services tab—you need it to enable your
account again later.
Routing number (if available).
Account number (if available).
Account type (if available).
Note: It's a good idea to contact your financial institution and verify this information.
In the bottom section of the Online Services tab, clear the checkboxes for all online services.
Click Save & Close to close the Edit Account window.
Read the warning message, and then click OK.
Exit from QuickBooks, then start it again.
Add the online service(s) to the account again, using the information you wrote down in Step 6.
Try connecting again.
If your financial institution has changed its PIN format, you may receive a message that your PIN is no longer valid. If this happens, contact the financial institution for a new PIN.
