When you log on to your online banking account, you are required to enter your password or PIN. If the wrong password or PIN is entered several times in a row, your financial institution locks the account in case an unauthorized person is trying to access it. When this happens, QuickBooks cannot access the account again until the financial institution unlocks it. When you try to connect to the account, QuickBooks displays this error message.
To correct the problem, contact your financial institution and ask them to unlock the account. They will probably also issue you a new password or PIN for it.
After the financial institution has unlocked the account, you can connect to it through QuickBooks as you usually would. If you received a new password or PIN, remember to use it instead of your old one to log on.
