If you have a merchant account with the QuickBooks
Merchant Service, you can enter a sale and immediate payment in the same way you
enter payments by cash or check.
Note: If you are using an Accountant's Copy of a company file, you cannot process credit card payments.

This option is available only if you have
signed up to swipe credit cards.
Important: You should always swipe the credit card when you have it
in hand, even if you already have the credit card information from a previous
transaction. Only by swiping the card will the transaction be classified as
card-swiped and eligible for a lower discount rate.
