Downloading Terminal Payments (Innovative Merchant Solutions)

If you have a merchant account through Innovative Merchant Solutions and you use a terminal to record customer credit card payments, you can download these transactions into QuickBooks. But first you have to activate your merchant account to use this feature.

Activate your account for terminal download

  1. Go to the Customers menu and choose Add Credit Card Processing.

    This opens the Intuit Payment Solutions web site.

  2. Click the link Already signed up for QuickBooks Merchant Service? on the right side of the page.

  3. On the next page, click the Start Using button next to QuickBooks Merchant Service for Terminals.

  4. On the next page, click the Activate Terminal Payment Download now! link.

  5. If you are not currently logged in, or need to create a new log in, follow the prompts to do so.

  6. On the activation page, enter your Merchant account number as it exists on file with Intuit Payment Solutions, Merchant account name (for future reference), and Employer Identification Number, and then click Submit.

Download terminal payments

After you have activated your account, you can download terminal payments. Note that transactions older than 90 days are not available for download.

  1. Go to the Customers menu, choose Credit Card Processing Activities, and then choose Get Online Payments.

  2. (optional) If you are subscribed to more than one service, choose Terminal Download from the dialog box.

  3. Complete the Download Setup page.
