What's important about the Workers Compensation Preferences window

This window lets you turn the Workers Compensation feature on and off and lets you configure certain settings when you do use workers compensation.

Track Workers Comp

Select this option if you want to use the Workers Compensation feature in QuickBooks. Unselect it if you do not want to use workers compensation.

Display message to assign codes

Select this option if you want QuickBooks to prompt you to assign workers compensation codes for employee earnings when you fill out paychecks, time sheets, or single time activities.

Exclude overtime premium from Workers Comp calculation

Select this option if your company pays overtime wages and your workers compensation insurance company instructed you to treat all overtime hours as if they were paid at the regular wage rate in your workers compensation calculations.
