Work in the E-payment History window

The E-payment History window shows a summary of recently submitted e-payments. In this window, you can review a summary of each payment, view an audit trail of the transmission, view details of the payment, and, if a payment was rejected, find out why and what you need to do next.

To view the audit trail for a particular e-payment, click the View link next to the scheduled tax payment. The audit trail appears in the Audit Trail window.

Note: This is not the same as the audit trail that QuickBooks uses to track changed information about transactions such as checks, invoices, and bill payments.

View the detail of a submitted e-payment

Click a link that represents a scheduled tax payment in the Payment column.

The payment appears in the Liability Payment window. You can review the itemized payroll taxes and amounts included in this payment.

Handle a rejected payment

If the e-payment is rejected by the agency, the agency returns a rejection code, a message, and a solution that's unique to your situation. Agencies might reject an e-payment if, for example, you haven't enrolled in the electronic payment program (if the agency requires enrollment). For information on payment guidelines for an agency, visit the Go onlinePayroll Tax Support Web site.

Click the Agency rejected link next to the scheduled payment to display the rejection and solution message. How to handle a rejected payment.
