Add payroll items

The payroll setup interview guides you through setting up taxes and common payroll items that many companies need to do payroll. It automatically sets up the common items to affect taxes correctly (as long as your QuickBooks tax table is up to date).

You can also set up additional payroll items of the following types directly from the Payroll Item list.

  1. Go to the Lists menu and then click Payroll Item List. Shortcut

  2. Click the Payroll Item button and then click New.
