Insurance Benefits

You can set up the following common payroll items for insurance benefits:

  • (Pre-tax) Section 125 health, dental, other premium only, medical care flexible spending account (FSA), and dependent care FSA

  • (Taxable) Health, dental, vision, and other employee-paid insurance

  • Health savings accounts (HSAs) (nontaxable or taxable company contributions or employee deductions)

  • Taxable group term life insurance

  • Medical benefits for officers or 2% shareholders (for S Corporations only)

Note: If you are not sure what type of insurance plan you have, contact the plan administrator at your insurance company.
