Make sure a
bonus payroll item is correctly set up
in the Payroll Item list. If you use the "easy setup method,"
QuickBooks automatically sets up the bonus payroll item for you.
Start paying your employees.
If you're using payroll schedules, create paychecks using a payroll schedule.
If you're not using payroll schedules, create paychecks using Unscheduled Payroll.
Click the employee's name to open the Preview Paycheck window, and enter the bonus amount in the Bonus column for the employee.
Write a bonus paycheck for the employee.
