What dates should I enter?

For payment coupons

Enter the beginning and ending dates for the period in which you're reporting your payroll taxes. QuickBooks populates the form using the tax information on the paychecks whose dates fall within that range.

Example

Let's say you pay your payroll taxes on a monthly basis, and now you need to create a payment coupon for tax liabilities accrued during the month of June. Select June 1 as your Start Date and June 30 as your End Date.

Note: If you are creating a payment coupon, QuickBooks populates the form with the amount you accrued during the specified period. The amounts on the form do not take into account whether you have already paid any of those liabilities (in other words, whether you have created payroll liability checks for any of those amounts).

For forms that are not payment coupons

Enter the beginning and ending dates for the period in which you are reporting your payroll wage and tax information. QuickBooks populates the form using the wage and tax information on the paychecks whose dates fall within that range.
