Direct Deposit is not yet active

You have applied for Direct Deposit, but it is not yet active. You need to complete the bank account verification process before you can pay employees with Direct Deposit.

To complete bank account verification:

  • Check with your bank to see if the random debits you approved during sign-up have posted. Note the exact amounts of the two debits (less than $1.00 each) to QuickBooks Payroll Service.

  • Return to Direct Deposit activation. Go to the Employees menu, choose Payroll Service Activities, and then click Activate Direct Deposit.

  • Enter the amounts and complete activation.

Note: Intuit automatically refunds the amount of the two small withdrawals directly to your bank account several days after you verify your account.
