Running the Payroll Checkup

Note: QuickBooks Payroll customers can run the Payroll Checkup at any time. Assisted Payroll service customers must review their payroll data and resolve any problems during the payroll service signup and setup process.

  1. Go to the Employees menu, choose Payroll Service Activities, and then click Run Payroll Checkup.

  2. Payroll Checkup helps you review:

    • Your employee records for missing information and possible errors

    • Your setup of compensation, benefits, and taxes

    • Wage and tax amounts

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Note: If you find discrepancies in your payroll data, QuickBooks payroll reports can help you identify the source of the discrepancy.
