Online vendor payment lets you pay bills from your suppliers electronically, through QuickBooks.
After you've set up this service, you use QuickBooks to send payment instructions through the Internet to your financial institution. These instructions tell them which bills you want to pay and when. Then the financial institution's payment processor sends the payments for you, either electronically or by printing a paper check for you and mailing it.
Not all financial institutions offer online vendor payment. If yours doesn't, or if you prefer not to use their service, you can use the QuickBooks Bill Pay Service instead. It works the same way as the service from a financial institution. The only difference is that instead of a financial institution's payment processor handling your payments, an Intuit partner company does instead.
