Select items to invoice

To do this task

  1. (Optional) If you want to check inventory quantities by what's actually available, select the Show quantity available instead of quantity on hand checkbox.

Quantity on hand vs. quantity available

The quantity on hand is the number of an item currently in inventory. The quantity available is the quantity on hand minus the quantity already reserved on other sales orders or for building inventory assembly items.
  2. For each item, check the quantity on hand (or available), the quantity ordered, and the quantity previously invoiced.

Note: A negative quantity for On Hand or Available means that this item has already been invoiced for more than the actual quantity on hand or available.

  3. For each item, go to the To Invoice field and enter the quantity to add to this invoice. Enter 0 (zero) if you don't want to invoice any of this item.

Portions of this feature are available only in the Premier and Enterprise Solutions editions. In QuickBooks Pro, you can work with existing sales orders but cannot create new ones. Learn how to upgrade your version of QuickBooks.
