A signed application is a program that the developer has digitally "signed."
Each signature is associated with a certificate that includes the application developer's name and other information. If the certificate is
valid and the application has not been modified since it was signed, the
administrator will see the application's name, the developer's name,
and the name of the certificate authority (the agency that issued the
certificate). For questions and details regarding the trustworthiness of a
particular certificate authority or digital certificate, please consult the
certificate authority's website.
You might be able to get additional information about the application and its
developer from the QuickBooks Solutions
Marketplace. We recommend that you always use signed applications and
make this preference known to application developers.
You can go to the Integrated Applications
Preference to set or modify permissions or restrictions on an integrated
application without waiting for the authorization window to appear.
