Income tax preparation report

How do I create this report?

  1. Go to the Reports menu, choose Accountant & Taxes, and then click Income Tax Preparation.

What this report tells you

This report helps you prepare federal income taxes. The report shows the tax line assigned to each account in your chart of accounts.

To display the details of any of the accounts listed, double-click the account.

Note: Accounts with zero balances do not display in this report.

Tips for ProSeries users: The income tax preparation report is designed to work smoothly with ProSeries, consolidating the information previously found on balance sheet reports and profit & loss reports.

To make the auditing of your client's information easy, view the QuickBooks Import window in ProSeries and the Income Tax Preparation report in QuickBooks. Then compare the information on both reports to ensure that your client's QuickBooks data is importing correctly.

Date range

Initially this report covers the last full tax year. You can change the coverage of the report by choosing a different date range from the Dates list.
