If you have a particular report you'd like your clients to run, you
can set up the report as a memorized report on your own computer and then
export the report settings as a template. The report template lets you specify
all report settings in advance—for example, all date, format, and filter
settings. Your client imports the template file and then runs the report from
the Memorized Report list using their own QuickBooks data.
Note: When you set up report templates, avoid using filter settings
that might not work in other files. For example, filtering for a specific
account, customer name, job, vendor, employee, or item would not be appropriate
for another file. Use broad filters such as "all accounts,"
"all customers," and so on.
