Job types let you group your jobs in ways that are meaningful to your
business. You can restrict a report to transactions related to a particular job
Two or more job types
Click the Job Type drop-down list and choose Multiple Job Types. Select each job type you want
to include in the report.
One job type only
Click the Job Type drop-down list and choose a job type from the last section of the list.
Example: As a general contractor, you use job types to
group jobs by the type of construction—kitchen remodels, bathrooms, etc.
To limit a profit and loss report to profits from kitchen remodels,
select Name from the Filter scroll box, click the Name drop-down list, and choose All customers and jobs. Select Job Type from the Filter scroll box, click the Job Type drop-down list, and then choose Kitchen Remodels.
