You can change your QuickBooks password at any time. Be aware
that passwords are case-sensitive, so note whether or not you have
your Caps Lock key on.
To do this task
Go to the Company menu, select Set Up Users and Passwords, then click Change Your Password.
Enter your current password in the Enter Old Password field.
Enter the new password: first in the New Password field and then
in the Confirm New Password field.
Note: If you have Credit Card Protection enabled, users with permission to view complete credit card numbers must use a complex password.
The next time you log into the company file, QuickBooks asks you
to enter your new password.
