QuickBooks found inventory transactions that don't specify a site.
When you use Advanced Inventory, you must assign a site to every inventory transaction. To save you time, QuickBooks assigns all unassigned transactions to the site you specify in this window. The site you choose depends on the reason why you have unassigned inventory transactions:
You're setting up Advanced Inventory for the first time
We recommend you use a temporary site (for example, "Starting Inventory"). QuickBooks assigns all past inventory transactions to this site before you use Advanced Inventory. You can transfer items to their actual sites later. You can also rename this temporary site later.
To do this task
Click the Inventory site drop-down arrow and select .
Enter the appropriate information. (Be sure to use an intuitive site name that indicates this first site is your temporary starting site.)
You imported your accountant's changes.
When you created the accountant's copy of your file, QuickBooks required you to turn off Advanced Inventory. However, your accountant modified or added inventory transactions to the accountant's copy. Now QuickBooks must assign these transactions to a site.
Use a site name that indicates your accountant entered these transactions (for example, "Accountant Transactions"). If necessary, you can transfer inventory to move items to the correct site.
To add a temporary accountant's site:
Click the Inventory Site drop-down arrow and select .
Enter the appropriate information.
You turned Advanced Inventory back on.
Advanced Inventory was turned off in this file. Since then, QuickBooks has not assigned a site to any inventory transactions.
Now you have turned Advanced Inventory back on, so QuickBooks must assign all your inventory transactions to a site.
You can create a new site or use an existing site. QuickBooks transfers all unassigned transactions to this site. You can transfer items to their actual sites later.
Click the Inventory site drop-down arrow.
To use an existing site:
Select the site from the list.
