QuickBooks supports the world's common currencies, but if you need to, you can add a new currency.
Important: We recommend that you use (or activate) the currencies provided in QuickBooks because QuickBooks can't download exchange rates for currencies you add manually.
To view all available currencies in your currency list:
Go to the Lists menu, click Currency List, and then click to select the Include Inactive checkbox.
To activate an inactive currency:
Right-click the currency in the list and select Make Currency Active.
To do this task
Go to the Lists menu and click Currency List.
Click the Currency button at the bottom of the window and then click New.
Enter the name of the currency in the Name field.
Enter the currency code in the Code field.
Note: Currency codes can use a maximum of 3 letters and can't contain numbers or special characters.
