Import and export files can contain all the information in your Employee
list. The keyword for the Employee list is EMP.
The following table shows the column headings for the Employee list. The
NAME and INIT columns are required.
(Required) The name of the employee.
(Export files only) A unique number that identifies the company file from
which you exported the Employee list.
(Export files only) A unique number that identifies an entry in the

The first line of the employee's address.
The second line of the employee's address.
The third line of the employee's address.
The fourth line of the employee's address.
The fifth line of the employee's address.
The employee's Social Security number.
The employee's phone number.
An alternate phone number for the employee.
Your notes about the employee. If you are creating an import file, the notes
appear in the Notepad window for the employee.
The employee's first name.
The employee's middle initial.
The employee's last name.
The employee's salutation, or title (Mr., Ms., Doctor, etc.).
The custom field entries for the employee (you can have up to 7 custom field
entries). Custom fields let you track special information about the employee,
such as the employee's birthday or email address. What you use custom
fields for is entirely up to you.
The name or number of the account you want to associate with this employee.
QuickBooks requires an account number if you want to set up this employee as an
online payee. The payee uses this number to identify you.
