You can search across all areas of QuickBooks and your company file to quickly find:
Forms/transactions (invoices, estimates, and so on)
People (customers, vendors, employees, and other names)
List entries (items, sales tax items, and so on)
Amounts and dates
Menu commands (QuickBooks opens the menu and highlights the command for you)
Specific text within notes, descriptions, memos, and transactions
Go to the Edit menu and click Search.
In the Search field, enter the word you want to find.
Press Enter. QuickBooks displays the results of your search. Below Show Results From, QuickBooks categorizes the results.
You can click the category that you want to view. To the right, QuickBooks displays the results in that category. Move your pointer over a search result to see the actions you can perform.
Note: If you don't see the results you expect, you might need to update your company's search information.
(Optional) Use Amount and Date Range to further refine your search.
Set Search Preferences
