Adjust row amounts for a forecast

You can quickly adjust the amounts in your forecast by either a set value or a percentage. When you select either Increase or Decrease and then enter a number or percentage, the numbers in the rows of your forecast change accordingly.

Note: In the following table, the number 10 is just an example—you can use any amount or percentage.

Fill with the same amount.

Increase each by 10%.

Decrease each by 10%.

Increase each by $10.

Decrease each by $10.

To do this task

  1. Click in a cell in the forecast.

  2. Click Adjust Row Amounts.

  3. From the drop-down list, click either 1st month or Currently selected month.

  4. Specify whether to increase or decrease that amount for the remaining months by either a fixed amount or a percentage.

Optional: If you chose Currently selected month in step 2, you can also select Enable compounding. This option compounds the number entered in the Increase or Decrease field across the selected months.
