Open a backup copy to restore

Use the Open Backup Copy window to select the backup file you want to restore.

To do this task

  1. If your backup file is on a CD, USB flash drive, or other storage device, insert or connect that device now.

    If your backup file is on your hard drive or a network drive, click the Look in drop-down arrow and browse to the location where you saved the backup file, which will have a .qbb file extension (for example, mycompanyname.qbb).

  2. Select the file you want to restore. The file must have a .qbb extension.

    Having trouble finding the right file?

    Click the View Menu icon and select Details from the drop-down list to display the file type and date modified.

  3. Click Open.
