Set the default template for sales order packing slips and pick lists

This feature is available only in the Accountant, Manufacturing and Wholesale, and Retail editions. Learn how to upgrade your edition of QuickBooks.

You can set the default template that's used when you create packing slips and pick lists for your sales orders. You can also customize other sales order packing slip and pick list forms. The only other default form template that can be defined is the default template for invoice packing slips.

Only the QuickBooks Administrator can do this task.

To do this task

  1. Open the sales and customers preferences.

  2. Click the Company Preferences tab:

    • To set the packing slip default template, click the Packing Slip drop-down menu and select the default template to use.

    • To set the pick list default template, click the Pick List drop-down menu and then click the default template to use.

  3. Click OK.
