You can add border options to outline selected fields on a printed form.
You can also add borders to create special sections for your form. For example, you can add a special tear-off section to
the bottom of an invoice or add a border around a customer message on a customized sales order to highlight the message.
Note: These changes show only when you print the form—not when filling out the form onscreen.
To do this task
Open the Layout Designer window.
Click to select the object whose border you want to change.
Click the Properties button.
Click the Border tab and do any or all of the following:
In the Border section, select any of the Top, Left, Bottom, or Right checkboxes to define where you want borders to appear around the object.
In the Rounded Corners section, select a rounded corner style to give your form a more professional look.
Click the Color button to change the color of the object's border color if you will print the form on a color printer.
In the Pattern section, select a different pattern for the border.
In the Thickness section, change the thickness of the border.
Be aware that changing the width of a border or the size of a rounded corner may make the object bigger than the size of the field. If this happens, change the border width or rounded corner size, or resize the object.
Click OK to save the changes and close the Properties window.
Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each object whose lines you want to add or change.
When done adding borders or lines, click OK to close the Layout Designer.
Your changes appear in the Preview section of the Additional Customization window. To see a larger image of the form, click the Print Preview button.
Note: These changes show only when you print the form—not when you fill out the form onscreen.
Click OK to close the Additional Customization window.
