Align quantities on statements

You can add trailing zeros to quantities to align the numbers on the decimal points.

Note: To change a standard (predefined) template, you must first duplicate it or download a predesigned template from the QuickBooks Template Gallery.

To do this task

  1. Open the Basic Customization window.

"Open the Basic Customization window" topic goes here
  2. Click the Columns tab.

  3. Click the Print tab.

  4. Select the Print Trailing Zeros checkbox.

  5. In the Minimum number of decimal places drop-down list select the number of decimal places (0 through 5) to add.

  6. In the Additional Customization window, click the Print Preview button to see if your quantities are aligned correctly.

  7. Click OK to save your changes and close the window.

See examples of how the quantities will look on your statements

If you

"Number of decimal places" setting

1.1 1.1 1.1 1.10 1.100 1.1000 1.10000
3 3 3.0 3.00 3.000 3.0000 3.00000
3.733 3.733 3.733 3.733 3.733 3.7330 3.73300

It’s a good idea to preview the layout before printing your form. To do so, click the Print Preview button at the top of the form.
