QuickBooks users who store, process, or transmit customer credit card information in QuickBooks are required to protect that information by complying with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Visit the Online Security Center to learn more about the compliance requirements.
Each user with access to credit card information must have a complex or "strong" password. This password must be reset every 90 days. Credit card protection can't be enabled until the QuickBooks Administrator creates or resets their complex password.
If you're not the administrator of your company file, you need to have your QuickBooks Administrator log in and enable credit card protection for you.
