Choose one of the following:
The customer's opening balance is incorrect
The customer's opening balance is missing
Click Customer Center.
On the Customers & Jobs tab, select the customer.
Go to the Edit menu and click Use Register.
Find the customer's opening balance transaction in the register and select it. The words Opening balance appear in the Description field.
Note: If you did not enter an opening balance for this customer, click the option The customer's balance is missing in this help topic and follow those instructions.
Click Edit Transaction.
On the invoice, change the amount.
Save the invoice.
Create an item called Opening Balance that defaults to Opening Balance Equity:
Go to the Lists menu and click Item List.
Click Item at the bottom of the list and then click New.
Click the Type list and select Other Charge.
Type the words Opening Balance in the Description field.
Click the Account list and select Opening Bal Equity.
Invoice the customer using the Opening Balance item.
