Create a beginning balance in the Cash Flow Projector

To do this task

Before you begin, make sure your account balances are up to date in QuickBooks.

  1. In the Beginning Balance window, select the checkboxes for the account(s) you want to use in your beginning cash calculation; clear the checkboxes for the accounts you don't want to use.

  2. In the Adjust Balance field, enter any adjustments to your balance.

    Note: The adjustment made to your beginning balance will be applied each time you use the Cash Flow Projector. You can delete or change the adjustment entry.

  3. Click Next to enter your cash receipts.

Click Preview Projection at any time to see a preview of your cash flow projection. The preview will contain only the information you've entered and modified; you will need to complete all the steps to see your final projection.
