Rebuild a company file after using the Verify Data utility

If the Verify Data utility detectsdamaged transactions in your company file, you can run Rebuild Data to correctthe errors.

Because Rebuild Data can cause additional problems that can increase thedifficulty of recovering your data file, we do not recommend running RebuildData unless directed to do so by a technical support representative.

Note: The Rebuild Data utility requires that you back up your company first. If a technical supportrepresentative asks you to run Rebuild Data, you will need to have formatteddisks on hand for the backup.

To do this task

1. Close all open windows.

2. Go to the File menu, choose Utilities, and then click Rebuild Data.

3. Run the Verify Data utility again.
