QuickBooks 2005 and Enterprise 5.0 R10 Manual Download

In an effort to continually improve our products, Intuit has issued a maintenance release to the product. This release is intended to improve the customer experience with all editions of QuickBooks 2005 for Microsoft Windows. See What's new in QuickBooks 2005 and Enterprise 5.0 (R10).

		Download the update file to your computer	qbwebpatch.exe (60.7 MB)

Note: If you use QuickBooks 2005 on more than one machine, complete the following steps for each machine.

To manually install the R10 update:

1. If QuickBooks is open, close the application.
2. Locate and double-click the downloaded update file. If you have difficulty finding the file on your computer, see Searching for a file on a computer running Windows.
3. In the QuickBooks Update Utility window, click Browse if you need to change the path to your QuickBooks 2005 program. Click Install, and then follow the onscreen instructions to finish the update process.

   Note: There may be a delay or pause of up to 60 seconds at 84% to 86% of the update. Do not cancel the update. Allow it to finish and QuickBooks will be updated correctly.

4. When the installation is complete, restart your computer.
5. Open QuickBooks, and then check the current program release.
   1. Press Ctrl+1 to open the Product Information window. Use the 1 key at the top of your keyboard rather than the 1 key on the number pad to the right.
   2. The first line in this window displays the QuickBooks 2005 version followed by the release number (for example, QuickBooks Pro 2005 Release R10P). If the release number contains R10, then you have successfully installed the latest release.
   3. Click OK to close the window.
