Error: We can't detect your internet connection, so we can't verify your QuickBooks subscription

You get the error "We can’t detect your internet connection, so we can’t verify your QuickBooks subscription" when opening QuickBooks.

Why this is happening

QuickBooks Desktop license that is Subscription Based (Such as: QuickBooks Pro Plus, QuickBooks Premiere Plus, Enterprise Solutions Full Service Plan, and all ProAdvisor products) is being opened with no internet connection for the workstation.

How to fix it
  1. Connect your workstation to the internet (Contact an IT professional if assistance is needed with this step).
  2. Click Cancel on the error message to get passed it.

Note: By clicking cancel, features like Automatic Update, Epay, and QuickBooks Help will not be active without an internet connection.
