Serial/Lot Numbers are appearing twice in the Quick View window

 In the Quick View window, Serial or Lot Numbers are displaying twice, one quantity positive, one quantity negative.

Why this is happening

 This may happen, if you no longer use QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Advanced Inventory with Multi Inventory Sites feature.  You may have turned if off without transferring all items to one site as suggested and you sold an item.

How to fix it

 Transfer all items to one site

If you sold an item before the transfer date, the item's may appear twice.  Inventory and Lot/Serial Adjustments are not the same as transfers.

Before you disable the Multiple Inventory Sites feature:

  1. Go to Inventory > Transfer Inventory.
  2. In the Transfer Inventory window, select Transfer from site to the one you location to track all inventory items.
  3. You can use the Find & Select Items button (option to select all items in that window) or manually select the items.
  4. Enter the QTY to Transfer.
  5. In the Serial/Lot Number column, manually enter the numbers or click in the field to take advantage of the drop-down menu options.
  6. Repeat steps 1 - 5 for each site.

When all inventory is transferred to one site, go back to Edit > Preferences and clear the checkbox for Multiple Inventory Sites is enabled.
