Client Collaborator has run into an error.

Critical notice: the Client Collaborator feature in QuickBooks Desktop will be discontinued on June 30th, 2017.

After this time, you will no longer have access to this feature or any conversations held using it. Please see this article for more information about this change.

This error occurs when clicking on View Conversation list and there is no Realm ID associated with the QuickBooks Company File.

What you can try now

Click the Close button on the security issue page.

  1. Go to the Company menu
  2. Select My Company
  3. Click Sign In

  4. Sign In using your Intuit Account. Note: The client must be the one to sign in to the company file to create a company realm 

  5. Verify that the Checkmark is selected for the option to Connect my QuickBooks company file to Intuit's secure servers (recommended)

  6. Once the file has completed Syncing online click on the F2 button to display the Product Information window
  7. On the Product Information window verify that the Company Realm Id is not null.
  8. Now that there is a Company Realm ID you can go back to View Conversation List and Sign In
