Customer name is not showing up in the Bill To field on statements

When creating a statement for a customer, the Bill To field does not reflect the customers name. 

Why this is happening

Missing customer names on statements can occur when the Bill To section on the customers profile is left blank. This is also seen when importing customer lists into QuickBooks from an Excel spreadsheet, and leaving the Bill To 1 field empty or populated with incorrect data.

How to fix it

Edit the Customer profile in QuickBooks:

  1. Click on Customers > Customer Center.
  2. Locate the customer in the list and right-click their name.
  3. Select Address Info.
  4. Click the pencil icon to the right of the Ship To field to open the edit window.
  5. Add the customer name to the Address field.
  6. Click OK twice to return to the Customer Center.
  7. Recreate the statement for the customer to ensure the name is populating correctly.
