Capture Error when processing a credit card

You receive the error Capture Error when trying to process a credit card in QuickBooks.

"Capture" refers to the second step in the Authorization/Capture process. Generally, you use Authorization/Capture when you need to hold funds on a customer's card to capture at a later date, such as a deposit on a job.

How to fix it

 In order to capture funds, you first need to authorize the card so the funds are available. Follow the Voice Authorization process and then proceed with capturing the funds.
